There are many reasons to start a diet; wanting to lose weight, increase muscle mass, lower cholesterol, improve heart health and just feel better overall to name some of the major ones.  There are thousands of diets out there, many of them purporting to allow you to lose weight quickly with little to no effort.  While most of us realize this is unrealistic, the easy fix is still tempting.
